How To Color A Cute Unicorn with Inkon3 Magical Unicorn

Hey folks!

Cynde here from The Pink Envelope! I am here for my first ever Guest Design for Inkon3 and today, I'm showing you how to color this cuh-ute unicorn from the Magical Unicorn! This is a great stamp set because it has loads of possibilities! You could literally choose any color palette you wanted and it would be fab!

You can see how I made my card by watching the video HERE or you can click on the thumbnail below.

Since I wanted no line coloring, I stamped the unicorn with Inkon3 Fadeout Ink. Seriously folks, this ink is the ONLY way to go for no line. I talk more about it in the VIDEO, but I use this ink almost 100% of the time for no line. When I don't use it, I wish I had. It will truly disappear under your coloring.

I knew that I was going to color the flowers in different shades of pink and red and I knew the reds were going to be bold and heavy so when I chose the colors for the Unicorn I kept those pretty light. I didn't want the unicorns head to compete with that beautiful head piece.

Be sure to check out the VIDEO, I walk you through what colors I use and where and I have them linked down below as well.

It's impossible to have a unicorn without glitter or shimmer, so after I finished coloring added a drop of the Inkon3 Liquid Pixie Dust on an acrylic block and applied it to the highlights of the flowers with the Inkon3 Fine Tip Waterbrush

With that kind of shimmer you don't need any more embellies!

That's it!

I hope you enjoyed my project today! Be sure to check out my video and pick up the Magical Unicorn Stamp Set and some Liquid Pixie Dust folks. I so look forward to coloring this one again!

Thank so much for stopping by!

Until next time.

Rosie Posies

Hello, Crafty Friends!!
I have another project for you all today! This time I have this lovely rosie posie card using...

Fleurette Blooms' Posies stamp set.

I stamped my image onto mixed media paper with black archival ink and colored with distress markers then blended out with a water brush.

Once completely dried, I cut each flower out by hand.

I die cut leaves from old music sheets. Then shaded them with Distress Inks and added details with Distress Markers.

I die cut a honeycomb out of chipboard using honeycomb die. I mixed white gesso, microbeads, and texture powder together and applied over the entire honeycomb.

I allowed the mixture to completely dry then colored with distress stain then dry brushed acrylic paint.

Using my Xyron Creative Station Lite, I attached a 4.25"x 5.5" piece of burlap onto a standard A2 sized card made from cream colored cardstock. Then layered a 4"x 5.25" mat on top.

I used a bit of glossy accents as a glue and attached to my card front. The laid down my leaves before attaching my posies over top with more glossy accents.

To fish my card, I die cut the word hello from brown cardstock and attached at the bottom of the card.

And here is my finished card..

Such a simple yet beautiful card.

I hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial for today!

Until next time...

Rose Top Gift Box ~ By: Fleurette

Here is a pretty gift box I whipped together in one evening for a dear friends birthday! Looks like a lot of work, but really it goes together pretty fast! :) Scroll down for all the details on how you can make your own!

  • First I used our Nesting Box 3D SVG kit (using only the medium size box). I love this box, because the base is cut from one single piece of paper and all you have to do is fold the score lines and glue the taps.  The top goes together just as easily and voila, you have a box!  :)
  • Next I used our Lush Flowers 3D collection (using only the medium rose and leaves).  They go together really fast too!  After you cut the roses, spritz with a bit of water and roll them nice and tight, when you are done rolling,  just loosen them to the desired size and glue to the base with a little hot glue.
  • Glue the leaves around the top base of your lid, then glue on your roses, then fill in the center sections with the remaining leaves.
