Simple Easter Shaker Card Using Small Stamps to Create a Background by Ilda

Hello, my sweet friends Ilda here with you today from I Love Doing All things crafty πŸ‘‹

YAY! Finally, it actually feels like Spring has arrived here in our city of Edmonton.  All the snow is melting, there are water puddles everywhere and we have even enjoyed a few muddy bike rides!

Now that Spring has arrived, Easter is just around the corner. So today I have a simple Easter Shaker card to share with you all and I even filmed the process video for you to watch. It's been so long that I really had to relearn the process of making, editing and just uploading it to YouTube all over again. I'm hoping I will be a little more regular with sharing videos so that I don't forget the process again.

So for those of you that would rather watch the process, this is for you and don't forget to →Subscribe for future inspiration!

CARD DETAILS

For this card today I began by die cutting the top panel to create the heart-shaped window and the Cross from the Blessing Coordinating Die set. I then took a bunch of Spring/Easter small stamps from a variety of Ink On 3 sets and stamped out using Blackout Ink to create the background on to the front of the card base and colored them in using Copic Markers. (All the Ink On 3 Sets I used will be listed below in the thumbnail links below).

Next, I glued the acetate to the back of the heart panel opening and added the foam tape along the heart to create the well for the shaker pieces and also added foam to the edges of the card.

On the card base, where the middle of the shaker window will be, I added a little pile of the butterfly glitter and then closed up the shaker by adhering the top panel to the card base.

To finish I stamped the Easter and Blessing on the card front pieces and glued the cross onto the heart. To the cross, I added some color by blending on some squeezed lemonade distress oxide ink. And that is pretty much it for this simple shaker card.

Fairy Christmas Slider Cards by Ilda

Hello Everyone, Ilda here!

Now that Halloween has come and gone and there are inches of snow outside it's time to switch gears and think of Christmas πŸ˜€ Can't believe how this year has flown by!!!

So today I'm sharing my first two Christmas Cards of the year! These cards feature Ink On 3's Fairy Christmas set and part of the latest release! As soon as I saw the Fairy Stamp I knew I had to make a card where it looked like she was flying in the air. So literally that is what I did... she does fly (well kind of, on a sliderπŸ˜‰) I just can't help making interactive cards!

Here is a look at the first card and how the fairy looks at the bottom and the top position of the card. I wanted it to look like she was adding a star to the top of the tree.

and here is a closer look at this beautiful Blue Fairy!
(Yes, I also challenged myself to use non traditional Christmas colors and I'm really happy with the results) Isn't she beautiful!?!

To finish off the inside of the card, I simply stamped the Merry Christmas stamp from the same set. I'm really loving that font too!

And, here is my second card featuring the Pink Poinsettia Fairy!

The Fairies were both colored using Spectrum Noir markers and finished with some sparkle using Wink of Stella. The backgrounds including the trees were done using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors.

Make sure you watch my YT process video cause you won't believe how those trees were made! Also, see click HERE for a complete list of supplies used.

Here is a closer look at all the detail... check out the fussy cutting I did around the fairy 😲 Not hard to do with the right tools!

When Pigs Fly Card - Flying Piggy by Ilda

It's true, it's true, pigs are flying!!!
Well at least in my latest card 😏

Not sure if you guys can tell, but check out the shiny little foiled pigs 🐷 in the the background (see next picture). I used Fleurette's coordinating "Three Little Pigs" Digital Foil It Paper Pack and the speech bubble is also a Foil It. Love how she has made these digi papers coordinate with the her Stamps. Just makes things a lot simpler when you are creating, takes out the guess work out of choosing papers! And using the "Foil Its" was fairly easy too, all you need is a laminator or a Minc, and if you don't have one of those... I've heard, an iron works too to transfer on the foil  πŸ˜‰

How cute is this little flying pig?

If you love him I bet you will love the "Three Little Pigs" stamp set from Fleurette Bloom's latest release, and for a limited time you can get the Pigs and Posies Bundle Pack Special - FREE Shipping with the coupon code piggiesposies

For those of you that like watching the card making process, this is for you! Links to all the supplies I used will be listed in the video description.

Thanks for "flying" by!
