Pretty Up Your Planner Pages with a Little Birdie and Atelier Inks

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Cheryl with the Inkon 3 creative team here to show you a quick and easy way to pretty up your planner pages! I was getting my 2021 planner ready and while I love my Year-On-One-Page Inserts, I wanted to pretty it up a bit.

First, stamp out some of the images from the Little Birdie Stamp set onto sticker paper and fussy cut the images, color with your choice of coloring medium.

Next, create a soft teal background on your planner pages using a blender tool and the Trinity Teal Atelier Inks. I saw Fleurette work the ink on the Atelier Ink lid in one of her videos, and that really helps the Atelier Ink blend into the paper a lot smoother and I've done it since!

Place the colored stamped images onto your planner pages, and if you'd like, you can add some coordinating washi tape on the bottom of the pages.

Browns: E35, E33, E31

Ink Smooshed Rainbow Christmas Card

Can't stop won't stop with the rainbow Christmas cards! I used some Atelier Inks from InkOn3 to create a smooshy rainbow background for this punny card!

I would like to start an official petition to bring back ink smooshing! Haha! It's one of my favorite techniques. It's effortless and easy to blend colors for an organic looking background. I pressed some Bee Sting Atelier Ink onto my work surface. I use a glass mat, but a piece of plastic packaging would work, too! I sprayed the ink once or twice with water and then used an old stamp pocket ( again, a piece of plastic would work just fine! ) and picked up some of the ink and pressed it onto a piece of watercolor cardstock. I repeated the process with Trinity Teal Atelier Ink and Sweet Petunia Atelier Ink, The colors mixed together giving me a rainbow background!

I added a spritz of water to a drop of Shark Tooth White Atelier Re-Inker and used a paint brush to spatter some paint onto my background. I used Blackout Hybrid Detail Ink to stamp the adorable images and color them with Copic Markers. I trimmed out the images and added them to the smooshy background with foam tape.

I wanted this card to shimmer and shine, so I added a good and healthy coat of Liquid Pixie Dust to the peas and the earth. That's all! I hope you try this smooshing tutorial!

Warm Winter Wishes Holiday Card ft. Little Birdie

Warm Winter Wishes, Holiday Card,Ink On 3,Little Birdie Stamp Set, Christmas Card, Blackout ink, Card Making, Stamping, Die Cutting, handmade card, ilovedoingallthingscrafty, Stamps, how to,

Hey Friends and Happy Friday, Ilda here!

I am so excited to share this Warm Winter Wishes Holiday Card with you today. I absolutely love how it all came together. The design, the colors, the sparkle, and the texture..., it just may be one of my all-time favorite cards! The stamps I used come from Ink On 3's LITTLE BIRDIE Set. The images in this set are so pretty and perfect for so many occasions but I wanted to show you how it could be used for the Holidays.

CARD DETAILS

To begin, I stamped the Birdie using BLACKOUT INK and then colored it in using Prismacolor Pencils and fussy cut the image out. I actually had colored him for the first day of Kathy Raccosins latest coloring Coloring Challenge so that saved me some time when it came to putting this card together.

The next thing I did was plan out the design using the branch stamp. Once I had it somewhat figured out, I then placed the panel in the MISTI and stamped the branch using BLACKOUT INK. I then rotated the panel 90 degrees and placed it back in the MISTI stamped the branch again to create the same design on the opposite side in reverse. I repeated the same steps for each of the leaves and then I freehand stamped the berries and extra leaves to create subtle differences.

The images were then colored in using Copic Markers and then to add a touch of sparkle I added a layer of LIQUID PIXIE DUST. I then trimmed down the panel that would then later be glued onto a red piece of cardstock.

Next, I stamped out the Sending stamp on the right side of the card panel and also stamped out the warm winter wishes onto black cardstock using ATELIER SHARK TOOTH WHITE INK, to which I then trimmed down and glued in place with a bit of foam.

To create the snow-like appearance on the branches and berries, I used Liquid Applique and puffed it up with the heat tool. Once it cooled off I added some glue on top of it and sprinkled some glitter on it for an added touch of sparkle.

The last thing I did was to glue the Birdie in place using foam tape.

I hope you have inspired by this Warm Winter Wishes Holiday Card of mine and I pray you and yours are staying warm and safe this Holiday season.

Thank you for stopping by and until next time... Happy Crafting!

Two-for-One Ink Technique with Erica

 Hi guys!

Erica here on the Ink On 3 blog today with a couple of cards, using the same basic supplies but with VERY different looks! Like an utter nutter though, I didn’t get a photo of the backgrounds before I cut them up... Ay, mama!

Oh well, hopefully I can explain it well enough so you get what I’ve done. If not, I can always make a video and show you!

Right, let’s get to it: Before I did anything else, I took the Leafy Forest stencil and sprayed it with a very generous layer of Pixie Spray and let that cure for a few minutes. While that was doing its thing, I got some card stock out for ink blending and also water colouring. Oh and ALL THE ATELIER INKS!

Oh yes, I used pretty much all of them: Bee Sting Yellow, Marigold Orange, Sweet Petunia Pink, Marilyn Red, My Jam Purple, Peacock Blue, Trinity Teal and Goddess Green. The only two I didn’t use for the ink blending were Paint It Black and Twiggy Brown. Using a different Life Changing Blender Brush for each colour, I blended the colours on the diagonal, and vividly, for the first panel.

Then to get a two-for-one and not wasting all that ink, I got a water spritzer out and misted the stencil. It’s important to give the water a bit of time to activate the ink though. Then, in quick and firm moves, place a panel of water colour card stock on top of the stencil, trying not to move it too much. Press down, again, without moving the paper too much and turn it over quickly. Set aside to dry, or use a heat tool to speed this step up.

This technique gives a lovely soft, water coloured look with very little hassle. I absolutely love doing this, and do it practically every time I ink blend as it makes me feel like I get the most out of my supplies.

So, back to the first panel. This one I used a scalloped rectangular die on to trim it down, as well as a celebrate word die in the middle, before adding it to a white card base. The celebrate word die I cut out of black card stock three times and layered up with liquid glue. To make the top layer, with the ink blended pattern, pop a little bit more, I heat embossed it with Clear Gloss embossing powder before adding it to the card. That’s it!

With the second panel, I did a similar thing: I used a rectangular stitched die to trim it down. This one I added to a black panel, before adding that to a card base. The black really made the stencil print pattern stand out.

I wanted to add more to this, so I grabbed my Mini MISTI and the flower from the BeYOUtiful stamp. This I stamped up with Paint It Black Atelier ink, all over the panel. I really love how this turned out! To finish this card off, I simply cut a ‘hello’ diecut out of black card stock three times and layered these up. This I added to the card and with that, the second card was done too.

I hope you like these cards and will give this stencil printing technique a go! If you prefer, you can skip the ink blending and just dab your ink pads on the stencil, mist it and then place your paper on top.

Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica

Oh Deer! Watercoloring tips with Guest Designer Melinda

Hi there, Melinda here with you today. I’m so excited to get the opportunity to guest design for Inkon3, I absolutely love their products! If you'd like to follow my creations, my instagram is here

Since its still not too late to make a few Christmas cards I decided to do some no line watercolor with this cute stamp set, Oh Deer. After I finished watercoloring this cute deer I added a light blue wash using my Peacock Blue Atelier ink. I wanted to go for a vintage look so I chose some simple paper and a sentiment with a vintage font from my stash.

Beginner no line tips and tricks:
  1. Before no line coloring stamp your image with Blackout ink and practice watercoloring or Copic coloring to get a feel for what your coloring. Bonus, your end up with another card!

  2. Start out with larger images like this as they are easier and less frustrating to color.

  3. Paint the shadows with your darker color first and use a clean brush to move the paint, and don’t be afraid to add another layer or two of color until you get the look you want.

Oh Deer notecard with video tutorial

Hello and thanks for stopping by! Today I'm happy to share a project with you using the Oh Deer stamp set and Atelier Inks from Ink on 3 to create a bold ink blended look.

The Oh Deer stamp set is filled with woodland images including a majestic deer. I love the large and open images, which are perfect for creating many color tones.
