Fall Cards with Summer Loving Erica

Hi guys!

After a little bit of a hiatus, it's Erica back on the Ink On 3 blog with a couple of cards with new-to-me goodies that finally arrived after floating around the mail system for almost four months!

The Fox & Bunny Hugs set and the Leafy Forest stencil are lovely and I got to work right away! Ooooh, what fun I had ink blending, smooshing and glitter pasting! I made so many backgrounds and below are a selection of them. The Atelier Inks created some fabulous colours. I used Bee Sting Yellow, Marigold Orange, Marilyn Red and Goddess Green

From the Fox & Bunny Hugs set I stamped up the bigger image with Blackout Detail Ink on Copic friendly paper, then coloured it in with a selection of markers. This I then fussycut with some scissors and I ran a dark Copic around the edges where I wasn't able to get a super clean cut with the scissors.

I wasn't super happy with the way I did the bunny so I did the whole thing again. I went with Warm Greys for the first one. For the second bunny I used Cool Greys, and went a little bit lighter handed. I'm not sure which one I prefer...

For sentiments I used the same ones for both cards, the hugs from the Bunny Hugs set. One I did straight onto a white card base, with Bee Sting Yellow, Marigold Orange and Marilyn Red in an ombre way. Another I did in the same colours and then cut around it.

On the second card I used the same stamp set, only on one of the ink smooshed background. I switched up the ink colour to Twiggy Brown too. I also used a stitched rectangular diecut on that background piece.

To finish off the clean and simple card I only added a few little heart embellishments from Trinity Stamps. I wanted the Fox & Bunny images to be the stars of the shows.

That's it from me for today, I hope you like these cards and found some inspiration here with me. Lots of love from Erica.

Making Your Own Patterned Paper with Erica

Hi guys!

It's Erica back on the Ink On 3 blog today. Sadly due to some unforeseen circumstances, cough cough (covid-19) I have not had the latest release yet. I was holding out and holding out as we sporadically get mail here in Spain still, but no luck.

Instead I've grabbed my beloved Magical Unicorn stamp set again BUT don't roll your eyes and groan "oh man, she ALWAYS use that one". I mean, I do, I love it. However, for these I have used some of the smaller images and made my own patterned paper with the help of the Atelier inks!

I do love a nice patterned paper but have a terrible habit of hoarding it instead of using it. It's madness, really. So, I decided to make my own so I can make as many as I want, whenever I want!

I lined up my Atelier inks in the order I wanted to use them: Bee Sting Yellow, Marigold Orange, Marilyn Red, My Jam Purple, Peacock Blue and Goddess Green. The photo below is from when I was swatching the inks.

On my first panel, I used two of the star stamps and just placed them close together on an acrylic block. Then I stamped from one corner to the opposite one, at an angle, one colour to the next. On the second panel I did them straight across.

I probably added a little bit too much yellow at the top of this one, which lead to not a lot of green at the opposite corner. But oh well, you live and learn.

For the second panel, I used only the clustered stars stamp and stamped horizontally. For more even colour, it would probably be smarter to do the middle line first and then work your way out. If you aren't bothered about that, just stamp away.

I love how these turned out. So fun!

To finish these off, I stamped up 'hugs' in Blackout Detail Ink, with the help of my MISTI. The 'hugs' is from the Bunny Hugs stamp set. When that was dry, I added these to white card bases. It was so tempting to add a little something else, but I wasn't sure exactly what so in the end I decided to keep them as they were. I know, shocker!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have found some inspiration here today and will look at your stamps with new eyes and step outside the box with me.

Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica

Easter Bunny Hugs Card with Ilda

Easter Bunny Hugs Card | Ink On 3

Hello, my friends, Ilda here. I hope you are all safe and getting lots of crafting done while you are stuck at home.

Easter will be here before you know it and I thought it would be fun to pull out one of my favorite sets from Ink On 3, Lil Chicks and have some fun with it! Plus if you have been following me on IG, I have been trying to play along this month with Kathy Raccosin's Daily Marker Challenge, so I challenged myself to some no-line coloring today.

CARD DETAILS

As I mentioned I used the Lil Chicks set from Ink On 3 for most of the card. To begin I drew a circle on the front of the card panel and used it as a guide to stamp out the Easter eggs into the shape of a wreath using Fadeout Ink. I then stamped the Lil Chicks wearing their bunny ears in the center of the wreath. I then used Copic markers to color the images in.

I had the most fun adding the gell pen details to the images. To the chicks, I added white details to give them some fuzzy texture, or bunny fur. To the eggs, I used my metallic and gell pens to add designs and make them pop a bit more.

The sentiment comes from the Bunny Hugs stamp set that I stamped in Blackout Ink, and the Hugs die comes from the coordinating Bunny Hugs Die set. To give the Hugs word die cut more dimension, I stacked 3 layers and glued them together. I then added a layer of Liquid Pixie Dust to it and then heat embossed Crystal Clear embossing powder on top to give it a shiny finish.

I think it turned out pretty cute, and I hope you enjoyed this bright Easter Bunny Hugs Card featuring the Lil Chicks from Ink On 3.

Thank you for stopping by 😊
Until next time... Happy Crafting and stay healthy👋
