No Coloring with Vibrant Stenciled Backgrounds

Have you heard my top secret-est secret of all time? I don't enjoy coloring! Gasp! I know I know! But it stresses me out! Good news for me - leaving an image completely uncolored seems to be all the rage right now! So you know I hopped on that train using the gorgeous large floral from the BeYOUtiful Stamp Set from InkOn3!

I quickly made a set of 4 cards using the Leafy Forest Stencil, the BeYOUtiful Stamp Set, and a rainbow of Atelier Inks! And of course some Liquid Pixie Dust!

I always try to bring interest to my cards in one way or another. Since I'm not doing any fancy coloring on this card I decided to use my vibrant Atelier Inks to make pretty backgrounds!

I made four backgrounds with the rainbow of Atelier Inks and I kept the inks darkest at the bottom and lighter towards the top for each background. I temporarily held the Leafy Forest Stencil in place on a piece of white cardstock and blended my inks with a blender brush. I mixed together colors next to each other in the rainbow to get pretty blends - Peacock Blue with My Jam Purple and Marilyn Red, Marigold Orange, and Bee Sting Yellow. Then I made two backgrounds with just a single color of Atelier Ink - Paint it Black for one and Goddess Green for the other.

Now let's add something on top of the pretty backgrounds! I used Blackout Hybrid Detail Ink to stamp the large flower and a few leaves from the BeYOUtiful Stamp Set and then trimmed them out with scissors. I added them with foam tape because every card needs a little pop, right?! I used Blackout Hybrid Detail Ink and stamped a couple of different buildable sentiments onto the cards.

It's so hard see in the photos ( so definitely watch the video! ), but I jazzed up the flowers and leaves with some Liquid Pixie Dust! I keep mine in a Small Fine Detail Waterbrush so I can easily brush some glitter on my images! I hope you enjoyed this pop of white! See you soon!

Raccoon Hugs - Clean and Simple Watercolor Card

Hi everyone, welcome back to the Ink On 3 blog!  It's Jaycee Gaspar, and today I wanted to share the creative process on this simple scene using the Ink On 3 - Raccoon Hugs Stamp and Die Set.  The goal for this project was to make something super quick and easy, and in my case I used a scrap watercolor panel from a previous project to make this card super simple.  Do you all have a scrap drawer full of small bits of paper?  I feel like if I don't try to use these smaller scraps, then I'm hoarding.  I don't want to admit I have a trash drawer.

This scrap blue ombré watercolor panel was made with Windsor and Newton Payne's Grey (my favorite color by the way).  I watercolored the cute little sleeping raccoon in a mix of black and sepia outlined with Ink On 3 - Blackout Detail Ink.  This ink is great because it's crisp like a pigment ink, but dries super fast like a dye ink and is waterproof--perfect for watercolor projects.  I used the coordinating Ink On 3 - Raccoon Hugs Die Set to cut out the image once dry.  Before assembling the card I used the small heart images in the same stamp set and created "vellum tape" to act like a decorative scotch tape to anchor the watercolor panel on to my ink splattered background.  I used Ink On 3 - Gold Rush Embossing Powder and Juicy Clear Embossing Ink to make this.  I love the script sentiments from the stamp set, but lately I've been OBSESSED with my embossed label maker.  So I thought it was fitting to make my own sentiment and add it to my project.  I added a bundle of black embroidery thread to the back of the raccoon image to break up and balance the hard angles all over the project.

Hugs & Kisses

Hello Crafty Friends... Mitsyana Wright here!!

And I'm back again with Fleurette Bloom Stamps... whom has just asked me to be a part of their Design Team!!! Eeeeeek!! How cool is that??!!

I don't know about you but hearing great news like that always make me feel loved! And I've been in a very lovey-dovey type of mood lately... lots of warm fuzzies!

And what says love better than red roses...I think roses are very romantic, by the way!

 So, I made this simple, elegant, and "tres romantique" card using Fleurettes new Roses in Bloom set.

I started by stamping my image a total of three times. 

Next, I colored them  and I added highlights using a white gel pen.

I cut out two of the images by hand, and the third I die cut using a stitched circle die. Then embossed the die cut with an embossing folder.

I added foam adhesive to the back of the flowers and layered them onto each other for more dimension and removed one of the flowers for the very top layer.

I used this light green paper  and created a A7 (5"x 7" folded) sized card base.

Then die cut printed text paper  using a stitched rectangle die. 

I used a tape runner to attach my rectangle to the front of my card base.

I used the same circle die from earlier and traced around the outside diameter of the die as a template. Then hand cut out the traced shape and layered it under my paper pieced roses.

I added foam tape under the circle for more dimension then adhered it to my card front.

I die cut a pennant and the letters XOXO and adhered the little flag to the card, slightly tucking it behind the circle.

Lastly, I added a heart shaped cabochon using a clear quick dry adhesive.

You can really see all the added dimension with all the different layers (above picture).
