Big Bold Magnolias Ombre Card with Atelier Inks

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Cheryl here to show you a quick and easy card using Atelier Inks and the Big Bold Magnolias Stamp set!

Preparations:
- Cut white card stock 4.5"x 9" and then score at 4.5" to create a card base.
- Cut white card stock 4" x 4" for front panel of the card.

Around the perimeter of the card base, use the Marilyn Red Atelier Ink and a blender tool to add color to the border, you'll only need about .25" of a colored border.

Next, stamp out three to four flowers from the Big Bold Magnolia Stamp set with Juicy Clear Embossing and Watermark ink, then sprinkle some Arctic White ultra fine embossing powder over the embossing ink, tap off any excess powder, then heat set. Use the Marilyn Red and Marigold Orange Atelier Inks with a blender tool to create an ombre effect on the flowers. Fussy cut the flowers.

On the white card panel, stamp the "You're Beautiful" sentiment from the Heels to You Stamp set. I created an ombre effect by tapping Marigold Orange ink on the middle of the sentiment, then I tapped the Marilyn Red ink on the remaining un-inked portion of the stamp.

Now it's time to put the card all together! Adhere the white front panel centered on card base. Then adhere the flowers as you'd like. I put a large flower on the left, then a medium flower on the far right. I put a small magnolia bud behind the flower on the right. Then I used some foam tape to adhere the medium sized Magnolia between the other two flowers for added dimension.

Atelier Ink Magical Unicorn card with Erica

Hi guys!

Erica here on the InkOn3 blog with another Magical Unicorn card. I can't help it, I love that stamp! To check out my no-line colouring card, click HERE. There is also a YouTube video for that card HERE.

For this card I have created a very colourful background by ink blending all the Atelier Inks, except Paint It Black and Twiggy Brown. I used a stencil and the Life Changing Blender Brushes from Picket Fence Studios. The stencil is called Basket Weave.

I started out by adhering the stencil to a panel of Bristol Vellum paper. It was still a little bit tacky from the Pixie Spray I had used during another crafting session, but I secured it with some purple tape at the top and bottom just to be on the safe side. Then I blended the colours in a rainbow look, from bottom to top it's Bee Sting Yellow, Marigold Orange, Marilyn Red, My Purple Jam, Peacock Blue and Goddness Green. I added the Goddess Green over the blue thinking it would go turquoise but it went a dark teal instead. Because I wanted some green on the panel as well, I added a little bit of Goddess Green to the bottom of the yellow.

I trimmed this panel down to 5"x4.25" and this was adhered to a white card base. The reason I trimmed it shorter than the height of the card base was to give it a while border at the top and the bottom.

The Magical Unicorn I heat embossed by stamping up the image with Juicy Ink and sprinkling Chrome Embossing powder on it. Once set, it was ready to be coloured. I did some loose water colouring using the Atelier ink re-inkers and lots of water. To add sparkle I used a little bit of Paint It Black re-inker and Liquid Pixie Dust to colour in the actual head of the unicorn.

On a piece of white card stock I stamped up the sentiment 'Hugs, Kisses and Unicorn Wishes' with Blackout detail ink. This was trimmed down to a slim strip and adhered to the card with liquid adhesive. As was the unicorn itself once it was cut out using the coordinating diecut.

I wanted to add some sequins to it as well but managed to rein myself in, as it already has a lot going on. Look at that, I am making progress with my sequin addiction!! LOL!

That's it from me for today blog-wise but if you want to watch the whole card making shenanigan routine I call crafting, hop on over to YouTube for a video.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you found some inspiration here with me today.

Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica

Mermaid Cat Stamp Set, Card - Watercolor Embossing Techniques

Watercolor and Embossing Techniques, using the stamp set "My Little Catfish"

I had so much fun making this card as it is one of my favorite stamp sets. It always brings back sweet childhood memories for me.  When I was a little girl about 8 years old, I got my first pet cat and I named her Catfish.  Why Catfish?  Well, I had a big love for all creatures of the sea and lakes I guess, lol.  She turned out to be my very best friend growing up and I had her all the way though college.  So every time I use this set, a little piece of her comes back to life.   I hope you will get as much joy out of creating with this little mercat set as I do, after all who doesn't like mermaids and their pets of course.

Here is quick video showing the watercolor and embossing techniques I used to create this card.
Thanks for watching <3

How I created this card:

  • First I used the seahorses and sea shells and Chrome Ultra-Fine Embossing Powders to create a fun background.  Then ink blended the blue over the top to give it that deep blue sea feel.
  • Then I die cut a stitched circle, inked it up with some Juicy Embossing Ink, and poured on the Chrome embossing powder.  The combination of this ink and ultra fine powder is amazing, it is such a smooth, shiny finish.  It truly looks like metal! :)
  • For the Mercat or "Catfish" lol, I embossed it in the Arctic White Ultra-Fine Embossing powder then used watercolors to color it in. To add some deeper tones I accented it with some colored pencils.

Fairy Wishes Terrarium by Ilda

Well hello my crafty Friends!
It's me, Ilda from the DT taking over Fleurette's Blog.

Today I have a fun project to share with you. As soon as I saw Fleurette Bloom's Fairy Wishes Stamp set I knew exactly what I had to create... To me it screamed terrarium!

Here is a look at it all lit up in the dark. Think this will make a great night light for my daughter! How cool is that!?

My initial thought was to do it in a terracotta pot with a glass bowl and lid. Unfortunately, I tried it and it didn't work so well as the stamped images were too big for the bowl I had. So, I found myself a taller plastic container that I had stashed away in my closet. I knew this hexagonal container would come in handy someday. It's actually a Kirkland Chocolate container from this past Christmas, so if you have one kicking around don't throw it out, just remove the label and you'll eventually find a use for it!

Here is a closer looks at this magical place!

It is so pretty in the daylight too.

Here are the supplies I used, remember to be creative and use supplies already you have.

  • Fairy Wishes Stamp Set
  • Stamped colored die cut images (fairy, rabbit, mushrooms)
  • used Spectrum Noir Markers to color images + clear Wink of Stella
  • a clear plastic container
  • battery operated light
  • hot glue and glue gun
  • dry moss
  • river rocks
  • twigs
  • silk flowers
  • wire
  • burlap
  • glue
  • star sequins
  • raffia
  • soil (optional)

Hope this project has inspired you to step out of your stamping comfort zone and create something unique, maybe even make a terrarium of your own. With a little imagination everything is possible!

If you love fairies, check out a previous post using this same stamp set.

Midnight Moon Sky, Shaker Card ~ Clear Stamps

Hi Cheryl here on the blog today, playing around with the new release from FBstamps. Some super cute images in this release and you'll deff want to check them out!

Here's a shaker card I made using the new moon image.

I had wanted to try the night sky background for a long time now. Just never did it. Well, I did for this one, and I must say, it was fun and quite easy. Can't really go wrong. Next time I'll not be as afraid of adding black. This could have gone a bit darker. But I'm happy with my first attempt.
I splattered white paint over all to create a starry sky.

#clearstamps #moonstamp #fbstamps #stamping #shakercard
I die cut the window opening and attached acetate on the back side and used foam tape to add the dimension needed.

I chose a mixture of sequins and seed beads for the shaker bits and then attached the back panel on top. I stamped my sentiment and added a few sequins for some sparkle.

Here's my shopping list.

Let It Snow Shaker Card ~ Using Clear Stamps

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow - Cards

Bet that song is stuck in your head now... hehe!
Ilda here today, sharing a  fun winter card I made using one of Fleurette Bloom's latest Stamp Set Let It Snow.

For this first card, the stamping was super simple. I used VersaMark ink to randomly stamp the background of my shaker card and heat embossed it using some fine white embossing powder. Then used scribbled some Zig Clean Color inks on clear acetate and smooshed it on the the watercolor paper. Once it was all dry I created this beautiful shaker card with it!

Quick, Cute & Easy Puppy GiftTag ~ Using Clear Stamp...

Need a quick and easy gift tag?  I had a last minute party to go to for a kid, and did not have a card.  So I whipped up this cute little puppy gift tag, that I could clip right to the top of the gift bag!  Now I didn't need a bow as the tag gave it that super cut finishing touch :)

#clearstamps #stamping #papercrafting #gifttag #dog #puppy #fbstamps #zigcleancolorrealbrushmarkers
I created this Live on my Periscope channel.  So, you can watch & follow along to create your own.
(Keep in mind it was done live, so you have to bare with me in the beginning, we had a little technical difficulty, but it all gets straightened out quickly and I get to the crafting fun)

Supplies:
  •  Pawsatively Fabulous ~ 4x6 stamp set
  • Markers
  • Chalkboard tag
  • Clothespin
  • Hot glue and hot glue gun
  • Adhesive
  • Foam tape

Here is how I created this adorable tag:

  • I used a rectangle chalkboard tag.
  • Hot glued a clothespin to the top.
  • Colored this adorable puppy stamp with Zig Real Color Clean Brush markers, then cut it out along with the cute little doggy bowl, using the stamp set "Pawsatively Fabulous"
  • Then I used a white gel pen to write my message. (You could also use one of the sentiments from the stamp set instead.
  • I popped up the finished puppy with some foam tape, glued on the bowl and had the most adorable decoration and tag for my gift! :)
It was so easy, I made a second one for a little boys birthday!

Banana Split Stamped, Watercolor, Copic Colored Card

Hi, Fleurette here today :)  Hope everyone had fun creating cards for World Card Making Day!  I had fun playing and created this fun, colorful Birthday Card from our "Ice Cream Party" Clear Photo Polymer stamp set.

I did a tutorial on coloring this cute stamp with Copic markers Vs Colored Pencils
You can watch it by clicking here

I also did a fun Periscope on assembling it on WCMD
You can watch it by clicking here

#clearphotopolymerstamps #icecreamstamp #happybirthdaystamp #stamping #watercolor #worldcardmakingday #svgcutfiles #svgcuttingfiles
To create this fun card, I simply watercolored on heavy weight cardstock, using the SVG Kit "Rockin Quick Cards" Motorcycle card base and overlays.  On the second overlay I stamped the sentiment "Your The Cherry On Top" with embossing ink and white powder, creating my own patterned paper.  I think it gives a fun contrast, almost like a chalkboard.

Thanks for popping in and hope to see you again soon!
